The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is back and available at Spelmer Chrysler for you to come and take a test drive. You may be wondering what the difference is between the new vs the old Jeep Wrangle and truthfully, not much tends to differ between the years unless a huge redesign occurs, which doesn't happen every year. There are still a few new additions to the 2021 Jeep Wrangler vs 2020 one, however, and we've got the scoop for you right here. Keep reading to find out more!

What's New?

Before we dive in, let's be clear: this is still the classic Jeep Wrangler you know and love. Complete with removable doors, available soft top or removable panels, and standard two-door body style. Of course, it's changed a little since the original World War II-era military vehicle, but we're certain you'll love what's new. For starters, two new powertrains have been added to the lineup: the plug-in hybrid 4xe and a powerful V8 for the Rubicon 392.

The 4xe pairs a turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor for a combined 375 hp output and also delivers up to 40 km of electric-only driving. It also boasts a zero-to-60 of 6.0 seconds. If you're worried about the kind of power a hybrid Wrangler can produce, don't be. This model still retains the Wrangler's eight-speed automatic transmission and might even be more capable off-road because of the electric motor which allows it to provide instant torque. What's more, the 27 kWh hybrid battery pack is mounted underneath the rear seats, allowing the Wrangler to maintain the same ground clearance and capability as the nonhybrid models. This hybrid system will be available only on four-door Unlimited models.

The Rubicon 392 sports 33-inch tires as well as all of the Wrangler's best off-road gear. This new powertrain boasts 470 hp and retains all of the Rubicon's exceptional off-road capabilities while adding a new dimension of high-speed off-road fun. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission to deliver the power you need when hitting the road. It goes from zero-to-60 in 4.5 seconds and claims to be the ultimate Wrangler. Test drive one and see if you agree.
